Cologne Liverpool Krippenweg Partnership
The Liverpool Nativity Crib
To mark the 60th anniversary of the cities' link, 6 A level Art students from Upton Hall worked with ceramicist Emma Rodgers and designer Will Nichol to create a unique "Liverpool Nativity" crib, featuring local landmarks and The Beatles as the Three Kings, which was displayed prominently in Cologne Cathedral as part of the Crib Walk and in Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. This specific, collaborative "crib" was described as a powerful symbol of the cultural and historical ties between the two cities.
2014-16 Developed outside learning spaces in the grounds of Upton Hall School including the Woodland Classroom, Mary Garden and The Thinking Path with Arts Council funding.

Curatorial Work
Developed and sourced funding for the following projects which brought together pupils from a cluster of 4 schools with artists, writers, photographers and galleries in a series of workshops and exhibitions.
Surfacing - Williamson Art Gallery 2004 Lottery funding secured to provide workshops for students to work with six artists after which their work was professionally framed and exhibited at the Williamson Art Gallery alongside that of the artists. When the exhibition closed the artwork was donated to Arrowe Park Hospital as a permanent exhibition in the Women and Children’s wing.
